Maha Vinyasa Sadhana; Exploring the depths of your practice with
awareness, devotion, and compassion
Deepen your practice with a class designed to open you to new areas of strength and flexibility. With the mindfulness of postural integrity, specific alignment, and breath awareness balanced with the spirited nature of a devotional and dynamic movement practice, this class will open body, mind, and spirit. These workshops begin with mantra chanting and then move through a series of postures using in a free form sequence. They include various levels of postures to accommodate all levels of practitioners.

Kirtan: Ecstatic Chanting
Part of the centuries old practice of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion.
In Kirtan, practitioners chant mantras as a means of invoking the qualities of various deities to empower their lives. There is no experience necessary, and best of all, it is an open and safe environment to sing and be free in a light and fun way. The opening comes from your devotion and intention behind the mantras we sing. David will lead the chanting in call and response style and playing guitar.

Won’t you take me to…Shanti Town: Relaxation with Restorative Yoga and Live Music
With busy and active lives, taking time to consciously rest and restore your body and mind is very important in maintaining physical and mental peace. Restorative yoga is the art of learning to be supported as the postures will have you being held by props while you relax deeply in shapes that promote your vitality. David will guide students into restorative poses and then serenade the busy mind to Shanti Town (Shanti is the Sanskrit word for Peace) with live music.

David Lurey was introduced to yoga in 1996 and since then has developed into a talented, focused and caring teacher. Studying different aspects of yoga with various experienced teachers all over the world has deeply prepared David to help you embrace all aspects of your practice.
Radiating enthusiasm and love, David teaches Vinyasa Yoga for a connection to the self, AcroYoga for connecting to other humans and Green Yoga as a way to connect more deeply with the planet and cosmos. Motivating music is an important part of this yoga progression.
David takes students through opening and often challenging postures while encouraging the magical power of breath and mental stillness to cultivate the true loving nature of the heart. His classes invoke the natural elements in yoga practice to balance active lifestyles with self-reflection and meditation.
